It's Butler vs. Connecticut!
Date Posted: 04 April 2011 1 CommentsThen it was down to two.
Many teams have fallen by the wayside and today it is time to crown a new national champion. Butler defeated Virginia Commonwealth 70-62 and Connecticut escaped with a 56-55 victory over Kentucky to set up a climactic ending to this year’s NCAA basketball competitions.
This is the first time in NCAA history that a team made it to two straight Finals without being seeded wither number 1 or number 2. Butler was denied by Duke last year but they are poised to battle hard for the crown this year.
Connecticut had to rely on a slim one-point victory over Kentucky to reach the semis but this does not mean that they will simply role over and give up the crown.
Butler will be bannered by the talented Kemba Walker while Connecticut will heavily on Ronald Nored.
